An event for everyone… Over the previous years we have seen grandparents racing with grandkids, moms and dads racing with brothers and sisters, pets, friends and strangers all getting together for a great days of camping, sailing. 

Registration Fees / Sailor: Jr (under 18) - $15; Adult - $25

Boat Rentals: Opti - $20; Laser - $25; FJ/420 - $35;  

Once you are registered, you will receive an invoice that you can pay online for the event.

To be held in the Neuse River, Greens and Smith Creeks at Oriental, NC

ELIGIBILITY

Sailboats 20 feet and under

Launching will be at the Wildlife Ramp at the foot of the bridge over Smith Creek, hand launching can be done at Bow to Stern Boating at their beach area.

JURISDICTION AND RULES

The Regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of ling Sailing; except as any of these are altered by the sailing instructions. Sailing instructions will be available at registration and on the Bow to Stern Boating Website – www.BowtoSternBoating.com

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Saturday (9/16)

0815-0845          Registration and sign in:

              Coffee and muffins will be available during this time.

0900                    Competitors’ meeting for all classes: Bow to Stern Boating (290 Blackwell Point Loop Rd.)

1000                    Race One – All competitors start together

Lunch Break - about one hour – Consisting of make your own sandwich, chips, beverages and cookies

1300-1400          Race Two – Staggered starts based on first race finishes.

Awards               Shortly after 2nd race.

COURSE & SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

Check the Bow to Stern Website for full instructions & course layout: A unique event in which race 2 is a pursuit race with a staggered start. Races start in the Neuse, run beneath the bridge, up both Green’s and Smith Creeks with the finish back in the Neuse River.
