Please read all information below to ensure a full understanding of your Event and how to Register.

An event for everyone… Over the previous years we have seen grandparents racing with grandkids, moms and dads racing with brothers and sisters, pets, friends and strangers all getting together for two great days of camping, sailing, eating. and dancing. No experience, no problem, we can usually place you with someone who does. No boat, no problem, we have plenty that you can rent. This event is for all boat types, big and small.

Registration Fees / Sailor: Jr (under 18) - $15; Adult - $25

Boat Rentals: Opti - $20; Laser - $25; FJ/420 - $35;  Call for Keelboats.

Dinner: - Jr (under 18) - $10; Adult - $15

Once you are registered, you will receive an invoice that you can pay online for the event.

NOTICE OF RACE

1 RULES

1.1 The races will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing 2021-2024.

Racing rules that are changed will appear in full in the sailing instructions.

2 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY

2.1 Bow to Stern Boating Center is the organizing authority. The regatta is open to all boats, including:

Opti, Sunfish, Laser, FJ / 420 One Design classes. The regatta will also allow for other classes which consists of a minimum of 3 like entrants.

2.2 Eligible boats may enter by clicking the “Bow to Stern Regatta” button found at http://www.bowtosternboating.com/register?c=programs completing the form and submitting it online.  An invoice will be send for payment.

3 SCHEDULE

3.1 Saturday, August 6, 2022

0900 - 1000 Check-In / Registration (Bow to Stern Boating Center – 290 Blackwell Point Loop Rd. Oriental, NC)

1000 - Competitor’s Meeting

1100 - First Warning Gun - No races start after 1600.

1700 - Food and Music at Bow to Stern

3.2 Sunday, August 7, 2022

1000 – First Warning Signal - No races start after 1400.

Awards – As soon as possible after furling.

3.3 Number of races: Will be announced at the Competitor’s meeting and will be at the discretion of the race committee.  The goal is to get in as many races as possible.

4 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

4.1 The sailing instructions will be available at registration and will be available on Bow to Stern’s website.

5 VENUE

5.1 Racing will be conducted in the waters of Oriental, NC on the Neuse River and the creeks adjacent to the town.

6 THE COURSES

The racing area and courses will be defined at the Skippers meeting.

7 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY

Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See Rule 4, Decision to Race. The

organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death

sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.

8 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Extra parking will be available in the parking area just across the street from Bow to Stern.
